In a public statement gave by USCIS, the organization said: “This association will empower petitioning for legitimate super durable inhabitant status to apply for a SSN or substitution card as a component of a change of status application.”
Following the declaration of the association, the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) distributed another rendition of its Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, which presently incorporates questions identified with the SSN or card substitution demand.
In a post on their authority Twitter account, USCIS said: “Candidates petitioning for legal extremely durable home status would now be able to apply for a Social Security number or substitution card utilizing Form I-485, saving them an outing to a Social Security office.”
