Timing is everything, right?

For sheer, perfect topicality, MMF 2008 is going to be seriously hard to beat. Take your pick: an epic, media-saturated US election barely a week before, financial markets melting down and big swathes of the media landscape in earthquake mode. In other words, the perfect time to get together the best, brightest and most creative minds in the mediasphere to start looking for opportunities down the road ahead

So perfect, in fact, that we can't resist doing it all over again--Monaco Media Forum 2009, 11-13 November, back again at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, the best venue on the Med. We'll be announcing formally in February, including some brand new media tricks of our own, courtesy our new friends at SixApart. Plus we'll have a fresh crew of co-chairs to keep pushing the MMF envelope in unexpected dimensions.

In the meantime you can check the links below for highlights from November, including YouTube's special Monaco Media Forum Channel.  Thanks one more time to all our terrific 2008 sponsors--Google, Accel Partners, Vivendi, Lenovo. Thanks particularly to Accel's Joe Schoendorf and his crack team of Napa sommeliers for pulling off one of the best American invasions since D-Day. Special props to the MySpace London team, for pulling out the stops with an eye-popping Cote d'Azurean after party at Monte Carlo's Moods music bar. And above all, thanks to HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, without whose enthusiastic support MMF simply would not happen.

Once more, we're locked in for MMF 2009, 11-13 November, same great location. Save those dates if you're already on our list, or drop us a line if you think you should be. Fire away also with ideas about people we should be hearing from or things you think we should be talking about in November--program@monacomediaforum.org. Meantime, watch this space.
