MOBILIZATION!

Aux apps, Netoyens!

So much for the end of media history--we're on the road again. Merci Monsieur Jobs for those magic little slabs of glass and plastic. Thanks also for globe-girdling data clouds, raining down non-stop music and video streams. Pile on gorgeously specialized, free-floating software--suddenly the all-purpose World Wide Web is the
ancien régime. Or anyway, yesterday's news. Aux apps, media machers! You have nothing to lose but your business models.

MMF 2010--special fifth-anniversary edition!--takes on the great unleashing. The bedrock Web isn't dead. Neither are its money-making offspring: search, targeted ads, ever-better marketing ROI, even the hoary old point-and-click PC. (OMG--a mouse!) But cloud-connected supercomputers in a billion pockets--and nicely socialized!--promise something wholly new under the media sun.

What will that be? Who commands? Who (yes) wins, and who loses? With luck--and some of the world's smartest, most influential media thinkers & doers--those are questions we'll be answering in Monte Carlo in November. From distinguished co-chairs (see the list at left) to screaming edge innovators, MMF is the one place where all the pieces of the future come together. Hope to see you there.
